Ayurvedic Massage & Bliss Therapy Program
Ayurvedic massage and bliss therapies are the cornerstones of all Ayurveda spa therapies and panchakarma. These exquisite therapies are deeply relaxing and nourishing to the body and mind. During this program, students will learn how to perform one and two-person Ayurvedic massage (abhyanga) and learn how to administer Shirodhara and Svedana (herbal steam).
The AMBT program provides 52 hours of hands-on training in Abhyanga, Shirodhara, and Svedana. Participants will work in groups of three giving and receiving therapies. An additional 12 hours are required outside of class time to complete certification.
Clinical Nasya Treatment Workshop
This 1-day, hands-on, advanced Ayurvedic therapy program teaches students the art and science of Clinical Nasya, the process of administering medicines into the nasal passages. The clinical process utilizes an extensive treatment that prepares the face and nasal passages to receive the oil. Clinical Nasya Treatments are the best method of administering medicines in the management of conditions of the head and neck. This includes the management of the ears, eyes, nose, throat, and brain.
Panchakarma Specialist Workshops
A Panchakarma Specialist is a practitioner who is trained to both understand the traditional process of purifying and rejuvenating the body and is capable of designing and delivering proper care. Students attend 3 workshops over six days where they learn and practice hands-on treatments as well as important details about program design and case management. Students also attend a 3-hour panchakarma case management class within 3 months of the final workshop.
Shanti Komala Basti™
Shanti Komala Basti™ – This 1-day, hands-on advanced ayurvedic therapy course teaches students the art and science the Rectal Basti, an essential part of the Panchakarma process.
Oil Basti (anuvasana basti) nourishes the colon, pacifies vata doshas and supports healing from all conditions due to vata dosha.
Decoction enemas (nirusha basti) cleanse the colon and help to remove ama from the body. This benefits all three doshas.
Shanti Komala Basti means “Peaceful gentle enema”. This is a special technique developed at the California College of Ayurveda for making the process of receiving an enema nurturing and pleasant.
Marma Therapy Program
Marma points are 107 energetic body points that allow access to the body, mind, and consciousness.
During this eight-day, 56-hour, hands-on program, students will learn the history, classifications, theory and locations, and the effect of each point on the doshas and organs of the body.
Following this, you will learn how to interact with each marma point using massage, essential oil application, and pranic healing (Ayurvedic energy work) to restore balance to the body and mind.
Specific protocols will be taught for bringing healing to different organ systems. Students will work in groups of two throughout the program.
